Casebook: Child Welfare Data Management Platform

HOW MIGHT WE TRANSFORM PUBLIC SECTOR HUMAN SERVICES THROUGH USER-CENTERED DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY?

As a Senior User Experience Designer at Case Commons, I collaborated with IDEO and Pivotal Labs to design and develop digital products that help social workers leverage technology when managing their casework.

Case Commons operates Casebook, the first SaaS case management system to support contemporary best practices in child welfare. Casebook is implemented in the State of Indiana as the statewide system of record, supporting over 20,000 children and 3,500 caseworkers. It is fully integrated into the state's legacy technology infrastructure. Child welfare workers use Casebook to manage their day-to-day work with families and to capture important information about the children in their care.

Case Commons, Inc., is a unique non-for-profit, which was seed funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF). AECF is the largest philanthropy dedicated to improving life outcomes for disadvantaged children and their families in America and a national leader in child welfare policy and practice.
